Kuala Lumpur is a world class city in Malaysia, with a skyline unlike any other. We spent about a week or so in KL exploring the city, eating lots of food and checking out the sites. We’ve come up with a list of a few things that you absolutely must do while you’re in Kuala Lumpur! While this is certainly not all encompassing (there are definitely thousands of other great things to do in KL), these are the things we think you shouldn’t miss while in Kuala Lumpur. Without further ado - in no particular order, here is our list!
We recently got to spend a few exploring a true gem in the US, the Florida Keys. We’d had it on our list for a very long time and had visited Miami multiple times, but despite it being so close, we never seemed to be able to make it down there! We spent five days and four nights discovering this incredible gem and have put together an itinerary for you of where to stay, what to eat and what to do while visiting the Florida Keys!
Deciding how to spend your time in Singapore can be a challenge. Although full of history and culture, Singapore is also a world class city that at times feels like stepping into the future, and therefore the abundance of things to do can be a bit overwhelming when it comes to planning.
Like most large cities, it can be a bit overwhelming when you start searching for a hotel in Singapore! So many areas and neighbourhoods, plus hotel types to choose from. Do you want modern and chic? Are you on a tight budget (Singapore can certainly be expensive!)? Do you need to be super central? Do you want something super instagramable? These are all things to consider when picking your hotel.
We’ve put together a list of our favourite towns and attractions that you should consider doing and visiting on your next trip to Mexico. While staying put in one place can be super relaxing, going on day trips can be a great way to see new places and scope out new vacation spots. We often discover hidden gems and future getaways while out on day trips.
Currently we travel about half the year- this frequency has definitely increased over the last couple of years, specifically after we both quit our full time jobs- before this we’d travel about two months out of the year with no trip lasting much more than three weeks at a time.
Figuring out how to use transportation in a foreign country can always seem a bit intimidating at first. When thinking of travelling by bus in Mexico and Central America, you likely picture small, packed, hot buses, with chickens running down the aisles and no AC. The ADO in Mexico is anything but that. We’ve put together this guide to the Mexican ADO bus system to help you navigate your way through Mexico in comfort.
Situated less than two hours from Cancun, Isla Holbox is a quiet, hidden gem of Mexico. Isla Holbox is specifically known for its stunning beaches where you can practically walk on the water because of its sandbars that stretch for miles. In the late summer and early fall, whale sharks migrate to nearby waters and many tours are offered.
Bocas Del Toro, Panama had been on our radar for awhile before we finally got there this year, so it always surprises us when people have never heard of it. However, we do realize it’s not particularly widely known about- so let us educate you a bit while giving you some great tips and suggestions on things to do, where to stay and what to eat in Bocas Del Toro!
Looking for where to stay in Curacao? Trying to find accomodation in any place can always be a little bit overwhelming. Especially on a large island with various regions to decide from. We stayed at quite a few hotels while on the island and have put together a list of places to stay in Curacao for any budget and style.
We recently spent a couple of weeks on the gorgeous tropical Caribbean island of Curaçao. Although we didn’t make it to all the beach clubs and beaches on the island, this is a list of where we went. Below you’ll find a roundup of our thoughts and opinions on the best beach clubs and beaches that we visited while on Curaçao! If you’re staying on the island, or just visiting for a day on a cruise, visiting the beach is definitely a great thing to do while in Curaçao!
If you’re like us, the last thing we think of when getting to a relatively remote island, far off the coast, is a water taxi. However, after researching the easiest, quickest, and least expensive way to get to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker, off the coast of Belize, we found the water taxi (ferry) was the best way. During our research we had a hard time finding out all the details about the process, length of travel, and details so here we are writing a post for you!
London can honestly be overwhelming. The moment you start to plan your visit, you realize that it’s a huge city, very spread out- and most of what you’ll want to visit is likely far apart and not necessarily walkable! To help make your decision easier, we’ve put together a list of some suggestions of things to do in London.
When you are on a long trip that includes many stops- you frequently don’t have time to do much research before arriving at the next destination. As we emerge off a train, it’s often the first time we’ve had the chance to look up the location of our hotel and how to get there. It is always a welcome surprise when the hotel happens to be within walking distance from the train station.
Wrocław, a mid-sized city in the south west region of Poland- was one of our favourite cities we visited in the country- and also one of the hardest to pronounce! Even after planning our visit, spending a few days there, filming a vlog, and constantly reminiscing about it, we still find ourselves saying it incorrectly!
In the past couple of years, since we started Delightful Travellers, we’ve had some amazing opportunities to stay at quite a few unbelievable places. However, staying at Kanonicza 22 in Kraków, Poland was definitely one of the most luxurious.
We recently travelled to Mexico with Sunwing Vacations to visit the beautiful Paradisus Playa Del Carmen. The Paradisus Playa Del Carmen is a relatively large resort, but it’s also easily walkable. It’s divided into two sections, Esmeralda, which is the family side- and La Perla, the adults only side- which is where we stayed. When you stay at La Perla you also get access to all the Esmeralda amenities.
We recently made our way from our hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia (that's in Canada for those of you not from these parts) to Portland, Maine, via The CAT Ferry. Before departing, we decided to stay for a couple of nights in Yarmouth and Acadian Shores to see what was on offer. What we discovered, definitely surprised us, and we really hope you’ll take the opportunity to check it out for yourselves.
