Please reach out to us with questions all the time! Want to find out more about us? Curious about something? Check out the frequently asked questions below!

Where/when did you meet?

We met way back in 2004! We worked for the same company but in different departments.

Are you married?

Yes, we got married in 2007.

Where is home?

Although home is on the road. We’re both from Nova Scotia, Canada. We own a condo in Halifax (which we rent out) and a tiny house in Cape Breton.

How do you make money to travel? Are you rich?

We are definitely not rich. We’ve worked very hard to get to the position we’re in now. We have multiple income streams (which took years to get going). We make money from our YouTube channel (through Google and through sponsorships). We rent out our condo and tiny house back in Nova Scotia (so that we don’t have any extra expenses). We also have a web design company.

Can I hire you for web design?

Absolutely, head over to www.hopcreative.com to find out more about our web design company.

What camera/equipment do you use for vlogging?

Head over to our Gear page for the list of all of our camera equipment and gear.

Do you have Delightful Travellers merchandise?

Yes! Head here to shop some “Delightful” merchandise.

How can I support your channel?

If you love our content and feel like we’ve helped you plan travel, or just kept you entertained and you're curious how to say thank you, there are a few ways. We have a Patreon account or you can “Join” our channel on YouTube. YouTube also provides Super Thanks under each video.

Easier ways to help support us are just by engaging with our content. On YouTube be sure to subscribe, like our videos and leave a comment. On Instagram like our reels/photos, leave comments, share and save as well. On Instagram stories like and reply! The algorithm loves interaction.

Lastly, when you see any sponsored content, click links and purchase if it’s something that interests you!

What Travel Insurance do you use and recommend?

We always and exclusively use SafetyWing for our travel insurance. It’s affordable and easy to set up and if you travel for long periods like us you can set it up to auto-renew from month-to-month (so we don’t have to keep remembering to purchase each month). It’s also great for short term travel.

How long do you plan to live like this?

Probably forever! However, we’ve changed our goals in the last while. Instead of travelling quickly from one place to the next we are now slow travelling which gives us the opportunity to try out living in different countries, cities and beach towns. Eventually we’ll probably narrow it down to some favourites and spend the year living in a few different places for months at a time.

How can I do what you do?

If you want to travel full time you’re going to need a job that allows you to be remote or to work for yourselves. There are loads of websites out there with suggestions for different jobs that can be done online (Virtual Assistant, teach english online, etc).

If you want to start a YouTube channel but don’t have any idea where to start, our advice is to get some basic equipment to start (even try filming on your phone to start out), practice being on camera and filming. You can find free editing softing online and if you have a Mac you can use iMovie. Practice, see what you can do and make sure you enjoy it. Once you get more comfortable then start up that channel, invest in better equipment and get going!

If you want more hands-on learning we’d suggest doing some on-line training. There are lots of courses available online. Skillshare is a great place to start as they offer loads of classes in pretty much everything including editing and storytelling!
